Developing skills and talents
Giving our time and leveraging our employees’ diverse skills, experiences and personalities to inspire young people is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact. In many of our locations, our colleagues can work directly with young people through one-to-one tutoring, mentoring sessions and career workshops, helping children and young adults from less advantaged backgrounds fulfil their potential.

Helping young people to reach and develop their vocation
Not-for-profit: La Fondation de la Vocation Scope of project: Skills and talents Operating location: France
La Fondation de la Vocation’s mission is to help young people under 30 achieve their dream careers. By granting scholarships, young people from less advantaged backgrounds can achieve their professional ambition in any sector, ranging from astrophysics to music and aviation.
With support from R&Co4Generations, the charity has introduced its pilot mentoring programme to support its beneficiaries further.

Career workshop
Saving and enhancing the lives of New York City boys and girls
Not-for-profit: Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Scope of project: Skills and talents Operating location: US
Our colleagues in New York hosted a powerful virtual career panel with Madison Square Boys & Girls Club to help teenagers explore careers, prepare for interviews, and learn about employability skills for future success. The panel answered questions on a range of topics, including advice for women considering working in a male-dominated field, maintaining a healthy work-life balance and identifying their career path.
Tutoring
Tackling education inequality
Not-for-profit: The Access Project Scope of project: Skills and talents Operating location: UK
R&Co4Generations has been working with The Access Project since 2015, supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities in the UK. With the support of volunteers, they deliver interventions, such as personalised tuition, to help remove barriers that have typically stopped bright young students from low socio-economic backgrounds achieve good grades and pursuing the careers they want.
