Mission and scope
R&Co4Generations is Rothschild & Co’s philanthropic group approach with a core mission to empower future generations and protect our world.
Through R&Co4Generations we collaborate with social purpose organisations working to address the effects of social and economic inequalities and climate change.
Our primary focus is to support local charities operating in the geographies in which Rothschild & Co has a presence. In addition, R&Co4Generations supports global flagship projects to tackle issues of global significance across multiple geographies.
R&Co4Generations seeks to drive change by supporting initiatives in the following areas:
Skills and talents
- Tutoring and mentoring programmes
- Scholarship programmes
- After-school programmes in the areas of art, music, sport
Entrepreneurial mindsets
- Collaborative projects to unlock potential and develop 21st century skills
- Changemaker programmes focused on equalities and the environment
Environment and innovation
- Solutions to address social inequalities and/or climate change
- Innovative processes to deliver services, information and/or knowledge to young people

UN Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call for action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The 17 SDGs are integrated - they recognise that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.
To focus and maximise our impact, R&Co4Generations’ mission is in alignment with the ambitions of six UN SDGs.
