Csaba Szintai mentioned he had two prospects fly-in to Zurich just for the Private Markets Summit event to finalize the client acquisition.
Philippe Neher and Jürg Kramis mentioned that they both have clients that are now almost investing in private markets because of the event.
Martin Noseda mentioned that a client completed a contract in PE after the event.

- We received 3 small FAPEP III tickets from investors who attended and wanted to get in before the last close.
- We are working on two FAGP II tickets that are sizable - from investors who attended. FASO VI has also several tickets related to the event.
Next Generation Forum 2022

Christine Ling shared this story: "In 2022, we did the Next Generation Forum which was held in Gstaad. The event lasted 3 days and we invited people aged 25-35 years old, all coming for prominent families (mainly European families) and facing next generation problematics, such as succession, handling of the business to the future generation etc. So the forum focused mainly on the Governance subject, presenting in parallel Rothschild & Co in a subtle manner.
6 months approximately after the event, one of the participant wrote me a WhatsApp to ask me about wealth management. Indeed, her grandmother (booked in Switzerland at Pictet) was already planing the successions (as her granddaughters are resident in France) and so she will transmit her portfolio to the 3 daughters (for a total of EUR 4m approx). She didn’t want necessarily to stay at Pictet, the portfolio of her grandmother being very passively managed, and thought of us. Because her current bank, and the bank of the family, being BNP Paribas, she wanted to challenge them and put them in competition with someone else. And after the event in Gstaad, she saw the expertise of Rothschild & Co, and thought we would be great candidates.
After discussions , we won against BNP, specifically putting forward the tailor-made service, and she transmitted her part of the portfolio to us and propose to discuss with her 2 sisters. After a few months, we also managed to convince both sisters and now the 3 portfolio are with us managed with Mosaïque, LongRun and Five Arrows products.
The family is a very big entrepreneurial family in France and their family business is listed on the French stock exchange. The relation is still historically with BNP, but if the girls are happy, the potential to grow this relation is important.
And we went to pitch exclusively thanks to this next generation forum, and so the event was key in wining the case."
